Baccarat: Player, Banker and Tie explained

Three labels, two hands
Player and Banker name the two hands, not the customer and the dealer. The aim is a total closest to nine. Tens and picture cards count as zero; aces count as one; only the final digit of the total counts.
Drawing is rule-driven
The table’s drawing rules determine whether a third card is dealt. The customer usually chooses a wager rather than making hit-or-stand decisions. Check commission, Tie payouts and any no-commission exceptions in the specific variant.
What works and what to watch
The limited decision sequence can suit readers who prefer straightforward rounds. A Tie or side bet is a different proposition from Player or Banker. Scoreboards show history; they do not reveal a dependable pattern for the next outcome.
